Help Center & Subscription Support

Find answers based on where the issue occurs: your account, client, route, or order. Save the error message and check each item in turn instead of changing several settings at once.

For step-by-step setup instructions, see the Guides. To diagnose an issue by symptom, see Troubleshooting.

Account & Subscriptions

Check your account and configuration source before updating a subscription or moving to a new device.

Do I need an email address to create an account? How is my account information protected?

No email address is required to create an account—just choose a username and password. Access the user dashboard through this site, use a password you don’t use elsewhere, and save your login details in a trusted password manager. Don’t include account information in public screenshots, shared documents, or group chats. Since account creation doesn’t use an email address, don’t assume you can recover access by email; follow the options shown in the dashboard if you have trouble signing in. If you can still log in, check your account and order details first, then troubleshoot the client connection separately so account access issues aren’t confused with route connection issues.

Where can I find my subscription link, and do I need to import it again after an update?

Sign in to the user dashboard and find your current subscription details in the overview, then use your client’s subscription import feature. If you already have a configuration, select the relevant subscription in the client and update it rather than deleting it. After updating, check whether the route list or selected configuration has changed; refreshing a webpage alone does not update the client. If the subscription URL in the dashboard has changed, replace the URL in your existing subscription or import it again and switch to the new configuration. Subscription URLs contain access credentials, so don’t share them publicly. When submitting a troubleshooting screenshot, hide the full URL and any credentials it contains.

Do I need to buy another subscription when I change devices? Which platforms are supported?

VPNSeven has no limit on the number of devices connected at the same time and supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. You don’t need to buy again just because you’re switching devices. Sign in to your existing account on the new device, follow the dashboard instructions to get the client and subscription, then import the subscription and grant any required system permissions. Client settings are stored separately on each device, so a working connection on your old device doesn’t mean the new one is set up. Unlimited devices do not mean unlimited data; check your account’s data allowance when using the service. Before handing off or retiring an old device, sign out and remove the subscription configuration so access credentials aren’t left on a device you no longer use.

What should I do if my client says I’ve exceeded the device limit or shows an unfamiliar subscription?

VPNSeven has no limit on the number of devices connected at the same time. If your client reports a device limit, first make sure you’re signed in to your VPNSeven account and that the current configuration belongs to that account—not to an old subscription from another service. Note the exact message and where it appears: the client, operating system, and destination website may each have separate limits. Don’t make another payment just to clear the message. If your dashboard details are correct and the warning persists, submit a support ticket with your platform, client name, and a screenshot with credentials hidden. Support can investigate based on the specific message.

Connections & Troubleshooting

Check your underlying network, subscription configuration, system permissions, and app rules separately.

What should I check, and in what order, if I can’t connect at all?

Disconnect in the client first. Make sure your underlying network can reach websites you normally open directly, then check your subscription status and remaining data in the user dashboard. Update the subscription, confirm the client has selected the updated configuration, and check that the system has granted VPN or network extension permissions. Close other proxy tools that are also managing network traffic to prevent conflicts. Keep your other settings unchanged, try a different route, and note any error message. If the same device behaves differently on different underlying networks, include that detail in your support ticket. Avoid repeated reinstalls that could erase the original error message.

The client says it’s connected, but webpages won’t load. What should I do?

A connected status usually means the client has established a connection; it doesn’t by itself confirm that browser traffic is being routed as expected. Check that the client’s system proxy or VPN routing is enabled, then make sure the current rules aren’t set to connect directly to the destination website. Test more than one site to see whether all webpages fail or just one. If only the browser is affected, check its proxy extensions and secure DNS settings. Note your original settings before making changes, adjust one setting at a time, and reopen the destination page. If you see a certificate warning, don’t disable certificate verification; keep the error details and continue troubleshooting.

Why does my browser work, but a particular app won’t use the proxy?

Apps may handle network traffic differently. A browser following the system proxy doesn’t mean other apps will do the same. Check whether the client has an app exclusion list, split-routing rules, or a setting that proxies only the browser. Then make sure the destination app’s domain isn’t set to connect directly by a rule. If the client offers a VPN or tunnel mode that takes over network traffic on your platform, follow its instructions to enable the mode and grant permission, then fully close and reopen the app. Don’t change the route, rules, and routing mode at the same time, or it will be harder to identify the cause. If the issue continues, note the app name, the specific page, and the error message rather than simply saying it doesn’t work.

How do I fix a failed subscription update or a mobile client that disconnects in the background?

If a subscription update fails, first check that your underlying network and the dashboard are accessible. Then make sure the subscription URL is complete, has no accidental spaces or line breaks, and uses a format supported by your client. You can get the URL again from the dashboard, but don’t paste the real URL into a public checker. If a mobile client disconnects in the background, check whether the system restricts background activity or another VPN configuration has replaced the current connection. Allow the necessary background activity as described in your system settings. Record the conditions for update failures and background disconnections separately: the former concerns retrieving configuration, while the latter may involve system power or app policies. Changing the subscription URL won’t necessarily fix both.

Speed & Routes

Route type is one factor to consider; real-world app performance is what matters when troubleshooting.

How should I choose a region, IEPL route, relay, or direct connection?

VPNSeven covers 90+ countries / 210+ routes. Start by checking which regions the destination service supports, then compare how different route types perform on your current underlying network. IEPL, relay, and direct describe different routing setups; their names don’t guarantee a particular speed or replace testing the destination website. For work, check whether your business systems require a specific region. For streaming, also check the platform’s account and content-region rules. Compare routes using the same device, network, and destination page. Note whether the page loads and whether the connection stays stable, then keep the route that suits your needs.

When connections slow down during peak hours, should I change regions or routes first?

Pause local downloads, cloud sync, and other tasks competing for bandwidth. Then check whether other devices on the same underlying network have also slowed down. If only the current proxy connection is slow, try a different route type in the same region and see whether the page or stream improves. If not, compare other regions that suit your needs. This helps avoid changes to content availability or account state caused by switching regions. Don’t change streaming quality, client mode, and route all at once and then draw a conclusion. When submitting a support ticket, include when the issue occurs, your underlying network type, route name, and affected app. This helps distinguish local congestion, route instability, and delays from the destination service.

Why do video or AI tools still have issues when a speed test looks fine?

A speed test connects to a different destination than the app you’re using, so its results don’t reflect the full experience of video delivery, account verification, or AI requests. For video, distinguish between playback failures, region messages, and buffering during playback. For AI tools, distinguish between pages that won’t load, sign-in failures, and interrupted requests. Save the message from the service, check account eligibility, region requirements, and current rules, then compare other routes that suit your needs. Changing routes doesn’t guarantee that a platform will be available. The platform’s content policies, account restrictions, and service status can also affect the result. When reporting an issue, include the exact error text rather than only a speed-test screenshot.

When should I submit a support ticket, and what information helps with troubleshooting?

Submit a support ticket through the user dashboard if your underlying network is working, your subscription is up to date, system permissions are correct, and the issue still occurs after trying another route. Include your operating system, client name, selected route, connection mode, when the issue occurs, the affected app, the exact error message, and the checks you’ve already tried. If the problem only occurs on a particular network or in a particular app, include the comparison. Hide sensitive details other than your username, along with passwords, subscription URLs, and payment credentials, in screenshots. Include only the error context needed for troubleshooting; don’t upload your full browsing history. Add updates to the original ticket to keep the investigation in one place.

Billing & Refunds

Check the billing method, data rules, and order details before making changes or requesting a refund.

How much does a monthly subscription cost, and when does data reset?

Monthly subscriptions are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the date your subscription starts. To find your next reset date, check the account information in the user dashboard rather than assuming it resets at the start of each calendar month. There’s no limit on simultaneous devices, but that doesn’t mean each device gets a separate data allowance. Before choosing a plan, consider your actual usage, such as web browsing, cloud work, and extended video streaming. If the client and dashboard show different information, refresh your account details and check which subscription you’re viewing. Don’t decide to change plans based only on locally cached information.

Do data add-ons expire? How is a mid-cycle monthly plan upgrade calculated?

Data add-ons cost ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They remain available until used and never expire. Monthly subscriptions reset each month on the date they start, so their billing and data rules differ. If you upgrade a monthly plan mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated based on the remaining days. Check the change shown in the dashboard before continuing; don’t estimate a new validity period using the full monthly price difference. Before switching between billing types, check the options actually available in the dashboard and the order details. Don’t assume how balances, credits, or data usage are combined or deducted when the published rules don’t specify it. If you’re unsure, confirm through a support ticket before proceeding.

Which payment methods are supported, and what should I do if my order status doesn’t update after payment?

VPNSeven supports Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Check the plan, amount, and order status in the user dashboard, then follow the payment instructions shown for that order. If the page doesn’t update after payment, return to the original order and check its status and whether the payment actually completed. Don’t create multiple orders or pay again. If the payment record and dashboard order still don’t match, submit a support ticket with the order ID, payment method, and any necessary details about the payment result. Hide unrelated account information in screenshots and never share payment credentials publicly. For USDT, follow the instructions on the order page exactly; don’t rely on details from another order or an old screenshot.

How do I request a refund, and what information should I provide?

VPNSeven offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user dashboard and submit a support ticket explaining your request and providing the relevant order ID so support can check the order and its status. See the Terms of Service for details on eligibility. If there’s also a payment-status issue or a possible duplicate payment, explain how the orders are related in the same ticket rather than sending an unclear payment screenshot on its own. You don’t need to complete every connection troubleshooting step before requesting a refund. Don’t send your password or full subscription URL as proof. Check for updates and add information to the original ticket. This page does not promise a refund processing time beyond the published policy.
